Cinco de Mayo Fiesta

If you want chips, salsa, and margaritas for Cinco de Mayo, plenty of restaurants have you covered. But if you’re looking for something a little more family-friendly that gives back, check out the Cinco de Mayo Fiesta. Teams will participate in a Fiesta Cook-off to find out who makes the best Mexican food. They’ll win prizes, and you’ll get to taste their creations. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers

If any part of your teenage years and 20s was spent singing Tom Petty songs, this one’s for you. The iconic performer and band will be in Tampa as part of their 40th Anniversary Tour with Joe Walsh as a special guest. Try not to let yourself feel old realizing they’ve been around that long. Tampa Riverfest 2017
When: Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7
Where: Tampa Riverwalk
For two days you’ll find something for the entire family down the entire length of the Riverwalk at the Tampa Riverfest 2017. Family-friendly activities, local music, good food, local culture, and more. New this year will be a Hot Dog Festival featuring a hot-dog eating contest. It will be an official qualifier for the Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest on Coney Island. Learn more.
Tampa International Fringe Festival
When: Wednesday, May 10 - Sunday, May 14
Where: Ybor City
If you like entertainment that’s not exactly mainstream, you may love the Tampa International Fringe Festival. The entire event celebrates the performing arts with local acts as well as international acts of comedy, theater, storytelling, dance, music, and more. There are four venues, 29 shows, and 90 performances over four days - something for everyone. Learn more.

Sunset Music Festival

Where: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa
Celebrate Memorial Day weekend with friends, beer, and plenty of music. This is nothing but a big dance party and a way to have a good time. Are you ready to party your way through the first “official” weekend of summer? You must be 18 to enter, and 21 and older to purchase alcohol. Tampa Bay Margarita Festival
