Tampa Riverfest will be hosting the 5th Annual TacoFest in Curtis Hixon Park. TacoFest will provide a delicious opportunity to try a variety of tacos and toppings while enjoying all of the other aspects of Riverfest like the Wiener Dog Derby, Concert Series, Beer Tents, and more.

2025 brings another Riverfest with another LANTERN PARADE!
The Riverfest Lantern Parade returns to the Tampa Riverwalk, where participants decorate their own paper lanterns and join in on the parade! The parade will start at Water Works Park at 8:30 PM and end in Curtis Hixon Park. Lantern kits will be for sale the day of the event, 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM (while supplies last) in Water Works Park. Create a manatee, turtle or your very own design and stay to debut your lantern at Tampa Riverfest’s Lantern Parade on May 3rd at 8:30 PM. Or, create yours prior too and bring it day of to join the fun!

The Florida Wiener Dog Derby, Inc, is a Florida event based all-volunteer 501C3 fundraiser for local dachshund and animal rescue. In a calendar year, we host at least ten different competition events within the state of Florida, which raise money for designated nonprofits. Our fundraising event, held in conjunction with Tampa Riverfest, is scheduled to be held on Saturday May 3, 2025. The Florida Wiener Dog Derby, expects at least 10,000 spectators and we host about 300 registered dogs to compete in different talent and obedience based contests, not to mention the main event, which is Florida’s Largest Dachshund Derby and gathering. For our 2025 Derby, we are celebrating fifteen years of family fun and raising money for two local guest rescues: Skyway Dachshund Rescue, and DARE Dachshund Adoption Rescue and Education.

Join us for Fresh Market at Hyde Park Village every first Sunday of the month from 10am-2pm. Fresh Market is a monthly farmers market featuring over 80 local vendors including produce, handcrafted goods, plants and more. While you shop and stroll, enjoy live music by Gasparilla Music in Village Circle.
